Connect the Dots

“Learn how to see.  Realize that everything connects to everything else.”  – Leonardo da Vinci

A child’s game of connecting dots is much like our task as adults in reaching for understanding our world.  Being human can create a feeling of separation, of coming and going alone.  This is an illusion; we are each part of something much more than ourselves.

What connections can you find this week and where will you find them?  Perhaps you will look to nature, to the coming and going of the sunlight, or pause for the evening sky.  Consider taking a long look internally or into others.  Perhaps you will spy a vast system of interconnection in these seemingly separate parts by making the effort to be present with sight.

  1. This makes me think of the connection we all have with each other while we observe each growth point. It can hurt feelings, break hearts, disappoint, rejoice, fill with immense gratitude, and create super human strength. It is the best piece of this physical life and the hardest emotional hurdle simple to live the connection of our growth.

    1. that quote – “for a seed to achieve it’s greatest expression, it must come completely undone. the shell cracks, it’s insides come out and everything changes. to someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction.” – cynthia occelli

here i am sharing it again today, ah, that quote – you can see the flower opening in it?

i do wonder at what growth points may be present in your mind but also do not require you pointing them out… it is interesting enough that while i only considered an interconnected grid beneath, between – interjected in our reality – however to best describe this understanding that i have …. i did not think to connect with growth

but i suppose we must grow / expand to see – and back to da Vinci – everything connects
