Feel The Pack You Carry

IMG_0149

In moments today when you feel a tightness in your body, an ache or a lack of energy -SIT and notice it.  Sit and take 5 slow deep, low breaths and give this aggravation your attention.  Witness it and breathe with it.  Often these feelings and holding within our bodies are ways for it to speak of our emotions, our past and future feelings, needs, wants and grudges.  These pieces will not be ignored, much like a toddler your body will speak and then yell and then scream when we ignore them or just pat them on the head and say ‘go away and find something to do’.  Over time whispers of our past and our worries become so cumbersome they feel like a daily curse.  Your body can feel like a rebellious teenager that you can no longer speak to or handle or teach.

Listen to what you are carrying.  Breathe with it.  Give these voices your attention.

  1. Funny to me that we are so often in the same place – with similar needs cropping up to heal or thought cycles circling around 💕 I am grateful for this ✨💕

In the past week it was suggested to give emotions a voice (if you’re filing them away) which brings them to the forefront. Vocalization of an issue, even escaping as a low pitched vowel, becomes a living entity that can experience a more thorough release. I believe a movement with it would serve to fully relieve the body of heavy traces . This is why art, music, and kinesthetic therapies are able to untie knots that a purely cognitive approach may miss. Bodywork is so important. Your focus in yoga and trauma is a beautiful contribution to others 💕✨💛
